The AI Sales Development Rep Track

A six week, part time AI course for sales development professionals who want to run outbound as an AI system: verified lists, personalization at scale, multi channel sequences, and clean pipeline operations. You finish by sitting the same live exam our Talent network hires against. Pass and you leave with the Multistaff Certified credential, a working AI outbound system, and eligibility to apply to the network.

This track

Outbound is drowning in AI generated noise, which is exactly why the seller who runs AI with discipline wins. When every inbox is full of fake personalization, verified lists and genuinely relevant messages stop being table stakes and become the whole game. This is the AI course that builds that seller: it takes people who already understand buyers and turns their outbound motion into a documented, verified AI system. Six weeks later, you sit the same exam our Talent network hires against, and leave an AI-trained sales development rep with the evidence to prove it.

Who this track is for

The mid career sales development professional. You have carried a number, built sequences, and watched reply rates fall as every competitor bought the same AI outbound tool. You know the tooling is not the edge; the system and the judgment are. You want proof that you operate at a different level than the person who bought the same licenses.

The freelance or fractional outbound builder. You set up outbound motions for clients, and your rate is capped by how you are perceived: a contractor who runs tools. A certified AI Sales Development Rep who can show a documented system, verified throughput, and an exam score sells outcomes, and prices like it.

The blocked early career seller. SDR roles were the entry point into tech sales, and they are being automated and consolidated. If you are early in your career, being certifiably AI-augmented is how you compete for the fewer, more leveraged roles that remain.

The honest bar: this track requires real sales development seniority. The application screens for it, because we teach AI augmentation, not selling. Someone who cannot read a buyer will not be saved by a better pipeline, and we do not certify those.

What you build, week by week

Weeks 1 to 2: Operator Core. All tracks train together on the shared foundation. You assemble a personal AI stack you can justify tool by tool, learn workflow engineering (turning one off prompts into documented, repeatable AI systems and agent assisted pipelines), and build verification discipline: where models fail on sales tasks, especially invented company facts, stale contact data, and personalization that references things that are not true. You connect the stack to real tools through automation, and you baseline your current throughput so your multiplier is measured at the end, with artifacts.

Week 3: ICP and list systems. You build the targeting layer: an ICP definition workflow that turns positioning and closed won patterns into concrete, checkable account criteria, then an AI list building pipeline that sources, enriches, and verifies accounts and contacts. The graded standard is accuracy, not row count: a 300 account list where the signals are real beats 3,000 rows of decorated guesswork, and the exam treats it that way.

Week 4: Messaging and sequencing. The core of the track. You build AI personalization at scale done honestly: research agents that surface true, current, relevant facts per account, and messaging systems that use them without the template smell. Then multi channel sequencing: email, LinkedIn, and phone touches structured as one system, with deliverability discipline (warmup, volume pacing, domain health) built into the workflow rather than learned from a blacklist.

Week 5: Pipeline operations. Booked meetings die in messy pipelines. You build the operations layer: CRM hygiene automations, lead routing and handoff workflows that preserve context, and the reporting system: a pipeline readout that tells a sales leader what is working, what is stalled, and what you will do about it. You close by assembling the full AI outbound system and measuring your throughput against your week one baseline.

Week 6: Capstone and certification exam. A full deliverable set produced with your own AI stack under timed, screen recorded exam conditions: an ICP definition, a built and verified account list, a personalized multi channel sequence, and a pipeline report. Two graders score it against the public Operator Standard rubric.

The certification

The exam is graded against the published Operator Standard, the same six competency rubric used to admit every operator in the Multistaff Talent network. You are scored on output quality, verification behavior (is the list real, are the personalization claims true), AI workflow maturity, and honest throughput.

The pass rate across all applicants to the standard is under 15 percent, and we publish it. If you do not pass, you get one free retake within 90 days. If you pass, you become Multistaff Certified, with a verifiable credential page on multistaff.com. The credential expires annually and is renewed through a light recertification, because AI outbound tooling and deliverability rules change faster than almost anything else in this program.

The path to the network

What passing gets you, stated plainly: eligibility to apply to Multistaff Talent, the network companies use to hire certified AI sales development reps on subscription.

Network admission still requires a judgment interview, reference checks, and a supply and demand check for the function. We do not place everyone who passes, and we will not promise you a job. What we can say honestly: the certification exam and the network’s hiring exam are the same exam, our best graduates do get hired through the network, and top capstone performers are fast tracked and featured, anonymized, on the site.

FAQ

The Sales Development track

Do I need sales experience to join this track?

Yes. Function seniority is a prerequisite, and the application screens for it. You should have carried an outbound number or owned pipeline generation in some form. We teach AI augmentation, not selling, because AI multiplies judgment about buyers and cannot supply it.

How much time does the program take each week?

Eight to ten hours per week for six weeks. Live cohort sessions are scheduled around working hours, and the graded weekly deliverables are done async on your own schedule, which matters if you are carrying a quota while you train.

What happens if I do not pass the certification exam?

You get one free retake within 90 days. There is no certificate of completion as a consolation prize. The exam can be failed, and we publish the pass rate, because a certification everyone passes is a receipt, not a credential.

Does passing mean Multistaff will place me in a job?

No. Passing makes you eligible to apply to the Multistaff Talent network, which also requires a judgment interview, reference checks, and a supply and demand check for the sales development function. Our best graduates do get hired through the network, and the certification exam and the hiring exam are the same exam, but eligibility is the honest promise.

Is this just teaching AI spam at higher volume?

The opposite. AI volume without relevance is why reply rates collapsed, and the exam grades verification and judgment heavily: is the list accurate, is the personalization true, would a real buyer read this without wincing. Certified reps send less than spammers and book more.
